The procedure for male circumcision to significantly reduce the risk of HIV transmission through heterosexual contact, almost useless to men of homosexual orientation.This conclusion, experts of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention United States as a result of a scoping study, reported The Journal of the American Medical Association.Scientists led by Gregorio Millette (Gregorio A.Millett) analyzed data from 15 studies involving more than 53 thousand men who have had homosexual contact.Approximately half of the participants was done circumcision.Revealed that circumcision reduces HIV risk during anal intercourse by 14%, but this was not statistically significant.To confirm the results of further research is needed, concluded the scientists.Currently, the World Health Organization recommends ma*s male circumcision in African countries for HIV / AIDS.Studies have shown that this procedure can be 40-60% reduced risk of HIV transmission during vaginal sex.
