If a person is on both Paxil and Seroquel can they quit the Paxil and stay on Seroquel?Paxil is for depression and anxiety and Seroquel also works for depression but I don't know why the doctor gave me both. Can I quit Paxil and just take the Seroquel?I want to stop taking Paxil because of the sexual side effects. Why do I need 2 depression meds anyway when one can do the job?

Both have sexual side effects, and Seroquel may be a bigger problem.
At low doses (up to 100mg), Seroquel primarily is an antianxiety and sleep med. Then it is a strong antimanic with some anti-depressant effect. It's main purpose is as an antispychotic at high doses. Paxil is your main antidepressant. Unless you are taking 200mg+ of Seroquel, you may be dropping the wrong med.
See a psychiatrist if your are not already. There are other meds. For example, Lamictal is a mood stabilizer with a strong antidepressant effect. It is close to side effect free for many. It's not good with anxiety, though.
